Community Transform

Community Transform is a Christian and ecumenical project organised and supported by local churches and individuals in the community. We respond to a range of issues and needs that fall under the objects of the organisation. At the moment we provides trade skills training and wrap-around mentoring for NEETS and homeless clients.

We are motivated by our Christian faith to serve the need's of people who find themselves workless in our community and we seek to model the example of Jesus in all aspects of out work, showing love for people irrespective of who they are.

We provide an inclusive service by:

  • Serving and respecting all people regardless of their gender, marital status, race, ethnic origin, religion, age, sexual orientation or physical and mental capacity

  • Never imposing our Christian faith or belief on others

  • Creating an environment where clients, volunteers and employees are encouraged and enabled to reach their potential

  • Assisting our clients, volunteers and employees to take responsibility for their own learning and development through both formal and informal training opportunities and ongoing assessment

  • Abiding by the requirements of employment law in the UK and implementing best employment practices and procedures designed to maintain the distinctive ethos and values of the sponsoring churches.

Vision

To assist individuals who are workless and unoccupied into being employed and fully contributing members of their community, and so transforming their community.

Mission

Community Transform is a social enterprise that seeks to confront “worklessness” amongst young adults (mainly 16-25 years), who have never been in employment or only spasmodically (often referred to as NEET; not in education, employment or training; they may have been homeless or young offenders) by providing trade skills training in a wrap-around mentoring environment. This will lead to them towards gaining employment and making a positive contribution to community life through skills training and social enterprise activity.
